How did you soften its aesthetic for Wylie?
Iron is often associated with an industrial look. How did you soften its aesthetic for Wylie?
“With the Wylie Iron Bed Frame, we focused on fluidity and proportion. The gentle arching form and vertical bars create rhythm and openness. While iron is traditionally heavy and grounded, we designed with negative space in mind—allowing light to move through and soften the silhouette. The result is a sculptural iron bed that feels light, serene, and architectural.”
Was there an emotional or conceptual inspiration behind the collection?

“Yes. There’s a nostalgic reference point—early heirloom iron beds and architectural details from historic homes—but we stripped those ideas down to their essence. The Wylie Bed is minimal, but it holds a sense of permanence and comfort. It anchors the bedroom without overpowering it.” The wave detail which is so integral to the original collection, finds new life here, translated into gentle, continuous curves and subtle tuck detailing in the upholstery. The result is a series of forms that feel fluid and grounded, sculptural yet inviting, capturing the effortless sophistication of natural textures without compromise.

“With fossil stone, we embrace natural texture and organic lines. Iron demanded a different type of discipline - cleaner lines, sharper precision, and an awareness of how structural forms can be expressive. Every curve and joint in the Wylie Bed was intentionally refined to balance durability and elegance.”
How does Wylie fit within En Gold’s overall design language?
“Wylie doesn’t replace fossil stone - it complements it. Iron brings contrast and depth when layered with timber furniture, linen upholstery, or natural stone pieces. It adds strength and architectural detail while still feeling harmonious with our core collections. For us, it’s about offering more ways to create intentional, timeless interiors.”
What do you hope people feel when they bring Wylie into their homes?
“I hope it brings a sense of grounded calm. The Wylie Collection is strong but quiet, refined but approachable. I want people to feel like it’s a piece that was always meant to live in their home, something that feels rooted, balanced, and lasting.”
