Art

Where do you find inspiration?
Emotions, negative spaces, shadows, fashion, 60's and 70's art, nature, mistakes, textures and different art mediums.

What message do you wish to spread with your art?
That it can be purely aesthetically pleasing, and doesn't need to have a deeper meaning or purpose.

Who has been one of your biggest influences?
Bill Brandt

What piece of art would you like to be remembered for?
'Body Language No.1'  It was the first painting I completed for my debut collection with En Gold, and it was based on sketches I had done twenty years ago at university, so it was a turning point for me after so many years of doubting myself to finally feel confident in what I had to offer.

What's your favourite En Gold piece and why?
The Orilla. It has a timeless quality to it, and it's raw edge is such a subtle, yet strong detail.

If you could describe your work in three words, what would they be?
Evolving, Cohesive, Unobtrusive

What was the inspiration behind your work?
The female body and all her expressions of language, mood, movement, shape and stillness.

Do you have a favourite piece of work?
I aim to make them all my favourite! I don't ever put out a piece of art that I wouldn't be happy to hang in my own home.

What's the most fun part of your job?
Seeing photos of my art and sculptures in other peoples spaces, knowing that they purposefully chose it to sit alongside their collection of curated treasures, and that my work evoked some sort of feeling within them to want to see it every day! So grateful.

Finish this sentence; My business is unique because…
It's mine :)  "Comparison kills creativity. There is room for you. Nobody can do it with your voice, with your experience, with your insight"- Karen Waldron
