Please use Stain Stop. This is a fantastic product to use yearly to create a seal on your product and protect it from stains in the future. The aim of this product is to create a barrier on top of the stone so that you have piece of mind while entertaining and more time to tend to stains before they penetrate and set.
In order to ensure the best application please follow the below steps:
- Ensure you use this treatment outside or in a well-ventilated area.
- Apply a generous coating over the piece using a white (or light coloured to avoid colour transfer) microfibre cloth. Allow the product to sit for 1-2 hours to sink into the stone. After the 1-2 hours, you'll find that all of the product should have sunken into the stone, if there are some slight puddles of product left, soak them up with a dry microfibre cloth.
- Re apply a second layer and leave for another 1-2 hours. After this layer you will notice that there will be more puddles that don't soak in, once again pat these dry with a dry microfibre cloth to absorb the puddles of product.
- Lastly re apply a third layer and leave to dry for another 1-2 hours. After this layer you'll find that the design should appear wet evenly across the surface, this means that the design has absorbed as much of the product as it can which shows that you've created a nice barrier to the stone. Wipe up any access product so the table is dry.
- Note: If there are still dry patches, continue to repeat these steps until the design is wet evenly across the surface, this is very important to ensure the best seal protection.
Once the container has been opened you can only store it for a month before it goes off. If you have only a few stone pieces and they have a smaller surface space, we'd recommend you only needing the 500ml container.
